The Rainworth branch of A.W. Lymn The Family Funeral Service began life as J.W. Hutchinson Family Funeral Service, a fourth-generation family business that joined the wider A.W. Lymn group in October 2018. A.W. Lymn itself was formed in 1907 and remains wholly owned and managed by the founder's family, making it one of the largest independent, family-run funeral directors in the East Midlands, with 26 offices across Nottinghamshire and South Derbyshire. From its base at Hutchinson House, 296 Southwell Road East, the Rainworth branch is overseen by Senior Funeral Director Jonathan Baker and Funeral Arranger Becky Hogg, and serves Rainworth alongside Blidworth, Bilsthorpe, Ravenshead and Farnsfield.

Families are welcomed at the branch Monday to Friday 9am-5pm and Saturday mornings until 12:30pm, with home visits and 24-hour telephone support available outside these times. As part of the wider Lymn group, the branch draws on shared resources including a fleet of Rolls-Royce vehicles, chapels of rest, online funeral arrangement options, and pre-paid funeral plans, alongside access to the group's associated monumental masonry (The Craftsmen in Stone), floristry (City Flowers) and luxury vehicle hire services. The team offers traditional, bespoke and green funeral options, and customer reviews consistently highlight the branch's professional and compassionate approach to arranging services for local families.
