A N Abraham Funeral Directors was established in 1994 and today trades as part of Funeral Partners Limited, a national group of locally-run funeral homes. The branch operates from 36-38 Kirkby Road in Hemsworth, serving Hemsworth, Pontefract, Featherstone, Doncaster, Barnsley and more than 40 surrounding communities in West Yorkshire.
The team arranges cremations, burials, green and woodland funerals, unattended cremations, repatriation, memorial masonry, coffin selection, ashes urns and caskets, transport, probate assistance, floral tributes and funeral stationery, and can accommodate services for multiple faiths as well as non-religious ceremonies. Pre-paid funeral plans are available, alongside a private chapel of rest where families can spend time with their loved one; as the branch premises are not wheelchair accessible, home visits are offered as an alternative. Branch hours are Monday to Friday, 10am to 4pm, with telephone support available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and funerals start from £1,750 excluding third-party fees. The firm is a member of the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD).
