A J Gascoigne & Son has served the Ashington area since 1986, when it was founded by Alan and Hazel Gascoigne. The independent, family-operated business is now run by their son Jeff, continuing a tradition of personal, professional funeral care built on the family's belief that every funeral should be conducted with the utmost dignity and respect for the person who has died.
Operating from Hazelwood House in Woodhorn Village, the firm offers religious and non-religious ceremonies, burial and cremation services, woodland burials, direct cremations, and modern, custom-designed funeral arrangements. The site also includes a private cemetery, Woodhorn Cemetery, along with a function room and chapel spaces, giving families the option to hold the entire funeral and any subsequent gathering in one place. Staff are available around the clock to guide families through the arrangements, from the first call through to the day itself.
